CEEC-LOGON - Local Governments Network of Central and Eastern European Countries
LOGON is focussing on building structures for communication in order to support the know-how exchange on the main issues of responsibility of Local Authorities, like structural policy and regional policy (e.g. spatial planning, city development), environmental protection (e.g. water supply, sewage, waste disposal, air pollution) financial and economic policy (e.g. local taxes, budget deficits-EMU, public procurement, subsidies, public utilities) and other issues with a strong impact on the local level (e.g. land transactions, free movement of persons, goods and services, rights connected with EU citizenship).
LOGON II is carried out in cooperation between the Austrian Association of Cities and Towns as coordinator of the project and the KDZ - Centre for Public Administration Research as implementing partner.

Conference of the "European Capitals for EU Enlargement"
The Conference is a network of the mayors of fifteen capitals from the EU Candidate countries and Berlin and Vienna, which exists since 2001.
It was made up at the same time by idea of the cities of Budapest, Prague and Warsaw and of Berlin and Vienna.

Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR)
The Council of European Municipalities was founded in Geneva in 1951 by a group of European mayors; later, it opened its ranks to the regions and became the Council of European Municipalities and Regions.
Today, it is the largest organisation of local and regional government in Europe; its members are over 50 national associations of towns, municipalities and regions from 37 countries. Together these associations represent some 100,000 local and regional authorities.

Die Hanse
DIE HANSE ist ein aktives Netzwerk zwischen Städten, die in der Geschichte zum Bund der Kaufmannsstädte, also der historischen Hanse, gehörten bzw. mit diesen Städten im regen Handelsaustausch standen. Gegründet wurde dieser Städtebund im Jahre 1980 in der niederländischen Stadt Zwolle und ist seither die weltweit größte freiwillige Städtegemeinschaft.
